A church hall booking system built for parish volunteers.

Take church hall hire online, invoice hirers and accept card payments — all from one platform that a parochial church council can actually manage. No IT skills needed: we set it up with you.

Hall hire calendar & online booking forms.

Publish a live calendar so the parish can see at a glance when the hall is free, then let hirers send a booking request straight from an online form. Regular church groups show their title; private hires appear simply as ‘booked’, so availability is clear without exposing personal details.

  • Separate colours per space (Main Hall, Meeting Room, Vestry)
  • Block out for services, festivals and holidays in seconds
  • Set up repeat bookings for regulars (toddler group, choir, lunch club)

Invoicing & online payments for hirers.

Auto-generate clear, charity-friendly invoices the moment a booking is approved — with your church's logo and your own sequential invoice numbers. Hirers pay from a link on the invoice; no LemonBooking account required.

  • Simple, clear layout with VAT details only when needed
  • Add payment links so hirers can pay online by card
  • Friendly automated reminders for overdue invoices
  • Syncs with Xero, QuickBooks, Sage and FreeAgent

Promote your regular groups & activities.

Most church halls earn their bread and butter from regulars — the toddler and parent group on a Tuesday, the choir on a Thursday, the lunch club, the bell-ringers, Sunday school. Set the pattern once and LemonBooking generates the calendar entries and invoices for the whole run.

Repeat bookings, set once

Weekly, fortnightly, monthly or first-Monday patterns cover the groups most parishes run. Skipping a half-term Tuesday or a festival week? Just delete that one occurrence from the calendar.

Publicise what's open to all

Mark the toddler group, lunch club or choir as public and they show on your calendar for the whole parish to see — while private hires stay simply ‘booked’.

Already have a website? Embed the bits you need.

Most churches already have a website — often the parish or diocese site. Keep it, and drop the calendar, booking form or hall info straight in via iframe. Or hook into the REST API to power your own pages, mobile app or noticeboard kiosk.

  • Calendar, booking forms, hall info and events — each available as a paste-in iframe snippet
  • Inherits your site's fonts and colours so it doesn't look bolted on
  • Read-only REST API with documented endpoints for bookings, payments, events and customers
  • Prefer to start fresh? Our built-in website editor can build a new church-hall site too

No website yet? LemonBooking's built-in website editor can build a new church-hall site too.

Frequently asked questions

Anything we haven't covered, drop us a line.

Is there a free church hall booking system?

You can run your church hall on LemonBooking free for 30 days, with no card required. The trial is the full system, not a cut-down version, and we help you import your existing diary so the parish can see how it works before committing.

Is LemonBooking easy enough for parish volunteers?

Yes — it is built for church wardens, parish administrators and volunteers with no IT staff. We do the initial setup with you, and multi-user access with simple admin and editor roles means a churchwarden and the hall coordinator can both manage bookings without treading on each other.

Can hirers pay for church hall hire online?

Yes — connect SumUp, Stripe, GoCardless or PayPal and hirers pay from a link on their invoice; no LemonBooking account needed. Card fees are paid to the provider; we don't add anything on top. Invoices are charity-friendly and use your own sequential numbers.

Does it suit a small PCC with only one hall?

Yes — a small parochial church council with a single church hall is exactly who this is for. You only pay for what you need, and the parish hall booking system scales down to one room as happily as it scales up to several.

Can we keep our existing parish website?

Yes — most parishes already have a website, so you can embed just the calendar or booking form into your existing parish or diocese site via an iframe. Or, if you would rather start fresh, the website editor can build a new church-hall site for you.
