March updates

Class signups module
All plans

The new class signups module lets you set up classes in LemonBooking and allow members of the public to sign up. You can offer classes run by your venue or by third parties. LemonBooking charges 10p per signup, plus standard card fees if you use SumUp, Stripe or PayPal.

Any approved, public booking can be turned into a class. The module supports multiple signup options (standard, concession, and so on), class passes, discount codes for individual sessions (e.g. taster class) and much more.

If you have customers who hire your venue to put on classes, you can help promote their sessions, take payments for signups, and offset the income against their room hire bills. Once a teacher has enough signups to cover their hire costs, LemonBooking automatically switches the invoice to a credit — an instruction for you to pay the balance out to them.

The module can also be combined with the membership module to offer reduced rates — or even free signups — on paid classes for members.

New help centre
All plans

The help centre has been rebuilt from scratch. It now includes intelligent search, new topics, labels showing dependent modules and settings, screen recordings, fresh code examples and more. Long topics have been split into sections, and every topic has an “On this page” summary of what it covers.

We’ve also added a “tip of the day” feature so you can keep learning about LemonBooking without being overwhelmed with information on day one.

Catering report
All plans

Work schedules — which let staff export or print calendar data — are one of LemonBooking’s most popular features. This update adds a new schedule type that shows catering items only, useful for sharing food and drink requirements with your catering team.

Transaction fees for online payments
All plans

LemonBooking now shows the transaction fee charged by PayPal, SumUp or Stripe next to each recorded payment, so you can keep an eye on what you’re being charged. Transaction reports for each provider have also been added to the downloads page, giving you the breakdown for every payout you receive.

New invoice status "due today"

Invoices used to flip from not due straight to overdue at midnight. A new “due today” status now highlights invoices that need attention before the day is out.

Apply cost adjustments to public holidays
All plans

Cost adjustments automatically apply fees and discounts to bookings based on conditions like booking group, category, time of day, number of hours booked and more. This update adds a new public holidays condition — useful for applying an extra opening or closing fee to bookings that fall on a public holiday.

You can now configure LemonBooking to send scheduled emails at weekends — helpful if you have casual staff or volunteers who need an overview of the bookings taking place each weekend.
